The building

The building.

The Met stands on South Sathorn Road, developed by Pebble Bay, a Thai subsidiary of Hotel Properties Limited of Singapore, and designed by the Singapore practice WOHA. It rises as six interconnected towers of 66 floors and 370 residences, completed in 2009, with two- to four-bedroom layouts and penthouses. Sky bridges link the towers, and the open gaps between them hold breezeways, terraces, pools, and high-rise gardens, an early and widely recognised example of tropical high-rise design in Bangkok.

The tenure is freehold, which confers outright ownership that passes to heirs rather than a lease that has to be renewed.

Foreign buyers can hold freehold units within the foreign quota, which Thai law sets at 49 percent of a building's total saleable floor area, and Embark confirms a unit's quota status at inquiry.

With the building established for over a decade, The Met trades as a resale and rental market, and it remains one of the Sathorn corridor's recognised addresses.
