The blocks between Silom Road and South Sathorn around King Power MahaNakhon are a walkable pocket of Bang Rak, Bangkok, served by BTS Chong Nonsi and Saint Louis, where two new hotels on the old Narai site, a skywalk and a covered walkway have arrived or been confirmed since 2025. Three of the city’s newer freehold condominiums, ANIL Sathorn 12, Tait 12 and The Monument Sathon, sit within about 500 metres of all of it.

What is changing, in order
Two things finished, one hotel open, the largest piece still being built.
The South Sathorn walkway
A covered walkway of 1.6 km from MRT Lumphini to the Chong Nonsi skywalk, budgeted at THB 20.5 million by the city.
The Surasak skywalk
About 110 m from BTS Surasak across North Sathorn to Bangkok Christian College, opened 121 days early.
Grand Nikko Bangkok Sathorn
A new 35-storey hotel of 405 rooms on South Sathorn, about a kilometre east, opening in phases.
Hatai, on the old Narai site
Six Senses Bangkok and a Narai Hotel under Hyatt’s Unbound Collection, with shops, a plaza and a restored canal.
The Monument Sathon
Sansiri and Nomura Real Estate’s 29-floor freehold tower on Sathorn Soi 10, behind MahaNakhon.
Hatai: two hotels on the old Narai site
The largest change is on Silom Road itself, where the Narai Hotel stood. It is a hotel quarter, not a residential one.

Six Senses Bangkok
About 100 rooms and suites, a rooftop pool, a sky lobby and a spa (IHG).
Narai Hotel, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt
About 250 rooms (Hyatt); other reports give 245.
Public space
About 5,200 sq m: a plaza, a restored canal, a shrine and a market (Heatherwick Studio).
Residences
None. No release from IHG, Hyatt, Heatherwick or the lender mentions homes.

Hatai is the Narai Hospitality Group’s redevelopment of its own land, almost 11,000 square metres at 222 Silom Road. IHG announced Six Senses Bangkok on 1 July 2025 and said foundation work was already under way; Hyatt announced the Narai Hotel the following month. Heatherwick Studio designed the quarter, its first project in Thailand, with interiors by BAR Studio and Joyce Wang. The two hotels together hold more than 300 rooms, alongside almost 6,000 square metres of shops and restaurants.
The dates differ by source. IHG and Hyatt give 2028; Heatherwick Studio and a Kasikornbank financing report of 23 September 2026 give late 2027. The site was still under construction at that report. No floor count has been published, so we give none.
How far each building is from the changes
All three are within about 500 metres of MahaNakhon, Silom Road and both stations. The Monument is the closest to MahaNakhon; ANIL is the closest to BTS Saint Louis.
| Straight line | ANIL Sathorn 12 | Tait 12 | The Monument |
|---|---|---|---|
| King Power MahaNakhon | 390 m | 220 m | 170 m |
| BTS Saint Louis | 110 m | 200 m | 160 m |
| BTS Chong Nonsi | 500 m | 340 m | 270 m |
| Silom Road | 460 m | 310 m | 410 m |
| Hatai (Six Senses) | 530 m | 390 m | 510 m |
| Avenue 9, Silom Soi 9 | 570 m | 370 m | 420 m |
Straight-line distances measured by Embark on OpenStreetMap on 11 October 2026, to each station’s centre point. The developers quote shorter figures to the nearest station entrance: ANIL Sathorn 12 sits at BTS Saint Louis, and Sansiri gives The Monument as 80 metres from it.
The three buildings, side by side
Two finished, one to be built. All three are freehold.
ANIL Sathorn 12
222 homes on Sathorn Soi 12 by Grand Unity, completed in 2022 and certified WELL Gold.
Tait 12
227 homes over 40 floors by Raimon Land and Tokyo Tatemono, completed in 2023.
The Monument Sathon
185 homes over 29 floors by Sansiri and Nomura Real Estate, handover in 2030.

We set ANIL Sathorn 12 and The Monument against each other, price and timing included, in ANIL Sathorn 12 now, or The Monument Sathon in 2030. Above them all, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Bangkok occupies floors 23 to 73 of MahaNakhon: 209 homes, finished in 2016.
What it changes for a buyer, and what it does not
More reasons to walk out of the door. Not a figure that says any home is worth more, and we publish none.
A hotel quarter on the doorstep
Restaurants, shops, a plaza and a canal walk at Hatai, 390 to 530 metres from the three buildings.
Easier walking
Covered pavements on South Sathorn and a skywalk across it at Surasak.
Still a working district
The blocks remain offices, embassies, schools and hospitals first; the quiet of Lumphini Park is about 1.4 to 1.7 km away.
Construction until 2028
Hatai is being built on Silom, and The Monument on Sathorn Soi 10 until 2030.
Read about Avenue 9 and the padel courts
A five-storey building called Avenue 9 has been let at the corner of Silom Road and Silom Soi 9, about 300 metres from MahaNakhon: shops and a shared space on the two lower floors and a 48-room boutique hotel above. The only published source is a leasing listing, last edited on 18 April 2026, which gave the second quarter of 2026 for opening. We could not confirm the owner or whether it has opened.
Padel and pickleball courts said to be coming to the same soi under the name Court 9 have no published operator, size or date, so we leave them out until there is one.
Homes you can see here
Embark has homes at ANIL Sathorn 12 and The Ritz-Carlton Residences, and offers The Monument Sathon through its developer network, an interest worth knowing as you read this page. The cards below are read from each record, so price and status are current.
