The building

The building.

Eden Ekkamai stands on Ekkamai Soi 12, a short distance from BTS Ekkamai, developed by Eden Estate in joint venture with MQDC. It rises just 7 floors and holds only 17 residences, which makes it one of the lowest-density new buildings in the Ekkamai area. Homes are large by Bangkok standards: simplexes from 220 square metres and duplexes from 350 square metres. The design brings together architect SCDA, interior designer PIA, and landscape designer PLA.

The building is freehold, which confers outright ownership that passes to heirs rather than a lease that has to be renewed.

Freehold is the title most international buyers prefer because it is permanent and transferable. Foreign buyers can hold freehold units within the foreign quota, which Thai law sets at 49 percent of a building's total saleable floor area, and Embark confirms a unit's quota status at inquiry.
