Is Laguna Phuket freehold or leasehold?

It depends on the format, not on the estate: condominium apartments in Thailand can ordinarily be held freehold by a foreign buyer within a building's 49 per cent foreign quota, while villa and land product is ordinarily offered on a registered lease instead.

Banyan Group's development overview of 5 February 2026 does not state the structure for any individual address, so this site marks tenure as confirming on each of them rather than printing one of two plausible answers. Where we have read the papers we say so; where we have not, we say that instead.

If freehold ownership is a requirement, the condominium addresses are the ones to look at. If you are shown a villa, establish the lease term and whether any renewal is a binding contractual clause rather than a marketing statement. This is general information, not legal advice. Embark Estate is an appointed sales agency for Banyan Group, and can confirm the tenure of a specific address at inquiry, on WhatsApp +66 64 773 5098 or LINE @embarkestate.
