The building
Scope Langsuan stands on Langsuan, a short walk from Lumphini Park and the BTS stations at Chidlom and Ploenchit, developed by Scope. The architecture is by KPF (Kohn Pedersen Fox), the New York practice behind some of the world's tallest towers, with interiors by the New York designer Thomas Juul-Hansen. It is freehold and completed in 2023.
Freehold tenure is the structure most foreign buyers prefer, because it confers outright ownership that passes to heirs rather than a lease that must be renewed. Foreign buyers can hold freehold units within the foreign quota, which Thai law sets at 49 percent of a building's total saleable floor area. On the Lumphini park-axis, where much of the land is leasehold, a freehold building such as Scope Langsuan is comparatively rare.
